Subdivisions And Housing Stock
Residential properties throughout Midwest Cascade are arranged into three cul-de-sac clusters along Danforth Road, which serves as the neighborhood's primary entry route. The community comprises distinct named subdivisions such as Guilford Forest, Regency Park, Reunion Place at Cascade, Cascade Pointe, Oasis of Cascade, and Barrow / Niskey Lake Circle. Additional communities include Cascade Knolls on Cascade Knolls Drive SW, as well as portions of Putters Village and Elysian Estates. The local housing stock predominantly consists of two-to-three-story brick and stucco homes averaging nearly 3,000 square feet on large lots. Architectural designs range from Colonial and contemporary houses to traditional builds, along with modern mansions situated on the northern edge of the community.
Roadways And Transit Access
Midwest Cascade is positioned west of Interstate 285, south of Interstate 20 and Fulton Industrial Boulevard, and north of Georgia State Route 166 along Campbellton Road SW. The neighborhood is bounded mostly by the City of South Fulton, while bordering the City of Atlanta's NPU-P neighborhoods of Ashley Courts and Niskey Lake to the southeast. Primary local corridors serving residential travel include Cascade Road, Danforth Road, Regency Center Drive, and New Hope Road. Public transit through the community is provided by MARTA buses traveling along these main arteries. Cascade Road also serves as a direct link eastward into the broader Cascade corridor and westward toward surrounding municipal centers.
Community Parks And Local Services
In December 2023, the neighborhood opened West Cascade Park on Danforth Road, giving NPU-Q its first official public park. The 12-acre park introduces a walking trail, nature spaces, and a children's playground to local residents. Public education for Midwest Cascade is administered by Atlanta Public Schools, feeding through R. N. Fickett Elementary School, Ralph J. Bunche Middle School, and Daniel McLaughlin Therrell High School. Students also commute to charter institutions like Charles Drew Charter School or regional magnet and private facilities. For municipal library services, the Atlanta–Fulton Public Library System operates the nearby Cascade Branch located in the City of South Fulton.
